In a family home in Hackney, we designed and built a bespoke Douglas fir table and bench to act as both a focal point and a practical centrepiece. With clean lines and generous proportions, the pieces highlight the natural beauty of the wood. A light Osmo white finish softens the grain while maintaining the tactile texture of the timber, striking a balance between simplicity and modern refinement.

Designed to order and made by hand, the set serves multiple roles: a place to gather, to work, and to share everyday life. This project reflects our ongoing interest in the crafted details of daily living, modest in scale, purposeful in design, and enduring in use.
